Status Quo: Rick Parfitt's ex selling up

I’m looking for a new place and as luck would have it Status Quo Rick Parfitt’s ex-wife Patty is selling up two London apartments – one in Teddington, a penthouse overlooking the Thames which has an asking price of £1.35m – not unreasonable I suppose. Then there’s the other property, also riverside, in Hampton Wick, priced at £750,000.

Patty tells me the latter’s currently used by eldest son Richard, or Rick Parfitt Jr – from Rick’s first marriage - and his girlfriend Emma Noble, the strange creature once married to ex-PM John Major’s son James.

Patty’s quite chatty. Her birth son Harrison with Rick wants to try his luck at Sir Paul McCartney’s School of Music in Liverpool – I daren’t ask whether he might turn into a hereditary Status Quo-er, Patty might misunderstand me. Anyway, she's off to Dubai shortly for a well-earned break.

Here's some views of the Teddington pad ....

  1. The pop culture version of David Lodge's 'Small world' ? Or is it just a vicarious way to show us how classy and posh you are ?

Anyway, let me know which flat you choose, I'll visit you next time I'm in London. ;-)

  2. My world is all worlds and fate draws me into all sorts of useful situations. It's in my horoscope; Gemini, Pisces rising, Pisces Moon. I shall of course I invite you, Duralex, the moment I have established how to prime the burglar alarms.

  4. I'm most surprised Arcati didn't show us what must be her favorite room in the house: the john!

  5. Mme A, according to my handy horoscope guide for easy reference, that makes you a moody airhead with navel gazer rising! (Perhaps preparing for life as a moody air-guitarhead with tide rising?)

How coincidental that you should give us your signs just as I publish my first ever horoscope post. I hope I was able to cast new light, etc.

(BTW, I fared little better. Somehow, though, somehow...)

  6. Arcati isn't Pisces rising (which, anyway, isn't a navel gazer - it's diffuse and selfless). Arcati is either Gemini or Cancer rising. So how does that revise Ms Baroque's assessment?

  7. Dahlia, I didn't invent these terms! They came to me in a pre-packaged list, which I posted on my blog. If Arcati is indeed a Gemini rising that still amounts to moody airhead, only doubled of course, and if Cancer, agoraphobe - which just doesn't have the ring of authenticity in the present case (though it could I suppose account for hours spent at the computer).

Anyway, how do you know what time of day Mme A was born?

... In this ill-reputed area of the cyberworld, I mean... Still an infant!

  9. I don't know about the airhead bit but certainly I'm moody. Dahlia is a famous astrologer I know and I think she maybe right, I am not exactly sure of my precise clock time of birth which tells your rising sign - it could be Gemini but I suspect it's Cancer or Pisces which would account for my intuition.

Ms Baroque, I think you need a more sophisticated astrology package. Star-gazing is a complex thing.
