Thank you Atticus. Where do you think he will beach up next? There's that terrorist humour novel he's working on. I would sooooooooooooo love to run a short extract.
Enough of the Obs... Madame, can you let us know what happened to break up the strangely close relationship between Simon Kelner and his Sindy editor Tristan Davies? Please....
That is indeed a fascinating question, I agree. And I have heard many a strange tale of the beauty and the beast. Simon is most concerned about the aesthetic quality of those people who work closely with him, btw. But I wouldn't wish to give currency to idle hearsay about this curious split. I feel confident an Arcati devotee will share an indiscretion.
With regard to Simon Kelner and his aesthetic tastes, I do recall him being partial to a dusky young woman who featured quite heavily on Mad Arc's blog in 2007. 'Partial' here being a euphamism for lecherous and spouting propositions.
No, something he wrote. Well, all of it, really....
ReplyDeleteIt took you a long time to see him out Madame. Then again you probably had nothing to do with his departure.
ReplyDeleteThank God for that. Why the Observer hired him in the first place beats me.

ReplyDeleteI happen to know for a fact that the Obserrver editor reads your blog all the time and he thinks you're sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteI remember you said you could get Gerard a job on the Sunday Express. Does that offer still stand?
ReplyDelete"I hope it wasn't anything I said."
ReplyDeleteYou'd be sooo pleased, wouldn't you? Dream on.

ReplyDeleteDear Durabitch, You wouldn't know one way or the other. Back to your macramé evening classes, there's a duck.
