Author Christopher Simon Sykes has composed a satirical song on not being invited to Nicky Haslam's recent society birthday party ("I'm not yet 70") in Roehampton. Most amusing.

    Old, unglamourous and poor? I check two of those boxes... and I was there. So that's no excuse.

    I vote this the most irritating song of the year... it's been in my head for two days now.
