It's not my normal practice to comment on newspaper diary stories. But rules are meant to be broken. So I offer my congratulations to C4 news anchor Jon Snow on his marriage, as reported by Richard Kay in the Mail today. His wife is called Precious, a name that may ring alarm bells in some. But fear not. This one is Dr Precious Lunga, 35, a Cambridge scholar 27 years his junior.
Those with a memory (long or short) will recall that another Precious once claimed to be part of Mr Snow's life. Alas, this proved not to be the case.
Still, perhaps we'll learn more when this gets published on August 2. Or perhaps not.

This reminds me of the Chief of Clan MacCarthy case. Some gay guy hoodwinked the Irish Chief Herald into making him Chief. Not a bit of it! His pedigree went back a few generations some "adding on" and "grafting" various medieval genealogies et voila and instant 1800 year old Royal dynasty. We now have DNA of course;)
How marvellous. It makes me wonder whether the name "Precious" has a mind of its own, and by hook or by crook, would get Snow to the altar.
Nigeria. Population 239 million. Number of royals? 238 million. V odd!
Without Nigeria, my Spam2Arcati would dry up. Its airline industry has a most appalling safety record, judging by the number of plane crashes carrying the spouses of wealthy notables.
I'd wondered what happened to P Williams, those were the days!
Madame A I have $10 million in an account at the Central Bank of Sierra Leone. If you just give me your PIN number...
Well done Daily Mail! You can finally tell the difference between black women called Precious.
I love the size of your Content Warning, madame. Really makes me wet.
Precious' book sounds interesting. Because of institutional racism in the UK, she has had to reinvent herself, so don't knock it.
MA,
who would I need to marry to get top billing...don't say it..please..
now that i think of it..19 years of being single has suited me just fine..after three marriages, he would have to be spectacular!!

Well, Kevin Spacey's a free man; or failing him, Serena McKellen.
Love me, love my dog.
I saw an article on Precious Williams new book and was impressed so I thought I would connect to her through fb. I sent he a message asking her if she had a 'fanpage' or something to promote her work so I could refer it to young black children I was working with in the hope that it might motivate them seeing a positive black role model.....What a big mistake!
She questioned how I was aquainted with her work to which I responded by sending her the link to the Independents article on her book. She then responded saying 'Hi Farah' and I started to get worried because my name is not 'Farah' nor does it say that on fb! Then she blocked me??? After reading the Snow article and doing a bit of research, I now understand her 'Farah' issues.
I've learnt my lesson of trying to commend Ms Williams on her work and won't be making that mistake again but good luck to her anyway.
You're not Camila Batmanghelidjh are you?
Has Madame decided against a move to Anorak after all?
Jon Snow loves the black punani. Saucy old bugger.
As I write I still in intend to move to Anorak. It is designing a subsite for me.
Is the move to anorak because of the libel case Alison Pearson just started?
It's a pity you don't bother to read Madame Arcati - the site is moving because of Google censorship.
I don't know anything about a Pearson libel action.
Um, there's a psycho stalker about called Farah - might be something to do with it.
