First look at Duncan Fallowell's How To Disappear memoir cover. Excellent

Love the book look of Duncan Fallowell's memoir How To Disappear due out at the end of June from Ditto Press. Or whenever! Was there ever a greater marriage of title and design? Of course, one cannot imagine Duncan disappearing (unlike Madame Arcati) and that's the intriguing lure. What can he mean? He loves the cryptic does Duncan Fallowell. I shall be reviewing it, natch.

It looks like the door to Number 10, with Duncan's name as key.

Once you have a black cover you don't go back.

.How come you've got the cover but it's not on Amazon?

I think it's a hoax. Ditto don't mention it on their website

I think Ditto needs to keep up.

Bit lacking in time investment. Most of Ditto books are black so far as I can tell. DF should be published by grownups not kids.

If this book exists it's in a black hole - or maybe that's the idea - the disappearing book - now you see it now you don't. Still, if it's Fallowell it'll be worth watching the night-sky for

It IS very mysterious

I thought we'd seen the last of Mr Fallowell. What's the silly man up to now? Etheric witchcraft no doubt. Very you, Madam A. But I can tell you I've had more than enough mystification for one lifetime. What I adore now - and it's so hard to come by - is clarity.

My assumption is that the book is 3D and not just a 2D cover and that a Wordscript is in the possession of Ditto who willdo what publishers do when the Moon makes a fine aspect to Mercury - preferably in the 9th house.

Oh dear, there's me talking shop again!

I have never heard of Ditto.

Lavinia, I can recommend a very fine claret. Email me.

Duncan Fallowell is agnostic and uses mystery to tease people. I have. Noticed.

It astonishes me how the Madame Arcati blog fails to die. For years you've been threatening to die and here you are back again. Is this your way of demonstrating reincarnation?

Vote no to AV.

Will it be launched at the summer solstice? When is the summer solstice? What is the summer solstice?

I found it on Amazon but with no cover or product description - this could be intentional or airheadedness or both

Is black the new shocking pink?

Madame Arcati said...

This year the summer solstice is on June 21 at 17:16 as every nasty schoolboy does not know. It occurs exactly when the Earth's axial tilt is most inclined towards the sun at its maximum of 23° 26'. After that it's downhill all the way with TV weatherpersons pulling faces at the deluges to come and anthropomorphising incoming Atlantic depressions. Honestly, I missed my vocation as a sado-masochistic teacher.

Genius cover. And if it's just a cover how much the better. Any content could never measure up to the promise.

How big it is?

Not the Ditto Press said...

HUGE

Oh - grey round the edge sinking into a black hole. Cosmic!

Is that black cover a limited edition in oilcloth? I've always adored that fabric's whiff of Weimar backrooms and stiffened matelots with all the Mediterranean in their eyes. And a wipedown surface can be terribly convenient for bedtime reading.

What you see contains coloured marvels and also comes wrapped in waxproof paper of misty white
