'George Harrison beat up 14-year-old groupie'

The late Beatle George Harrison once punched and broke the nose of a 14-year-old female groupie, claims Jonathan King in his memoirs, 65 My Life So Far.

He writes that this "black girl had the obnoxious habit" of tracking down stars to their homes, ringing their doorbells and then "pour[ing] out a Tourettes-style stream of insults, carefully and cleverly constructed to carry a vestige of truth."

She got her comeuppance when she got to to the door of Harrison's home in Esher. He told King: "I let her go on and on until she finally dried up, then I looked at her and smashed in the face, breaking her nose and several teeth. We'll never hear from her again."

He was right. She didn't bother any more celebs.

King's autobiography is reviewed here.

LOL. It reminds me of how Perez Hilton was punched in the face by Will-I-Am last summer. Perez didn't shut up though.
And then the stalkers are mostly operating anonymously on the internet now...
How times changed.

Fascinating story but what a shame this is heresay with no way to check this unlikely sounding tale out. George was into love and peace way, innit?

Calm down dear, Santa's comin'.

It's not hearsay, it's firsthand testimony. A seance could be arranged for professional doubters.

I believe this tale. I've yet to meet a pacifist who wasn't dying to thump someone.
Isn't it time the NoTW employed King ?. I must have a word with Rupert.

Certainly they should serialise the book - might do something for its waning circulation. That's the problem with having a lying Christian for an editor.

King seems to be working his way through the Beatles. Any exclusives on Macca and Ringo now we know Lennon was a kinky orgy-loving bisexual?

What was King's relationship, if any, with gay Brian Epstein? or gay Kit Lambert, manager of the Who?

Madame Arcati said...

No, Macca's clean as ever.

Madame Arcati said...

Well, that's where buying the book could be useful. But they're all there.

You should ask Duncan Fallowell about Kit Lambert.

Madame Arcati said...

Duncan, what's this about Kit Lambert?

Much more than that: he's alive, heh heh!

Madame Arcati said...

His voice has passed away however, judging by his X Factor sing-song.

Yes come on Duncan Fallowell-fess up about Lambert.

Whatever one thinks of Jonathon King I've met many musicians whose careers he has helped who have nothing but very kind words about him.

Love all this rogering stuff though.

Perez Hitlon deserves to be pounched on a regular basis. Boring fat Cuban who hates Castro. He should be living in Miami with all those other nutty Cubans.

There's nothing nutty about hating a Communist dictator. Try living under one, mate.

Perez was not punched by Will-I-Am himself but by his manager. That's a tiny detail though, I'm almost sure WIA wishes he did.

whadda ya mean? every Cuban got a new refrigerator as a present from China this year. Far better than when they all had to be prostitutes under that other dictator Batista !

any way whats this got to do with King?. And Perez Hilton smells.

That was just the way we were in the 60s - not quite as politically correct; these days you thank an abusive fan sweetly and sign her autograph book. There's a lot more genuine stories in the book; I'm sorry so many mentioned are dead; at 65 many feel I should be too.

Thank you Madame. I fully intend to stick around to do 95 My Life So Far (The Sequel).

I very much doubt it, but there are more official and legal ways to handle them, restraining order for one. Harrison was lucky that crazy girl didn't go for revenge.

Please ask Jonathan King if he knows of the love affair between Lennon/McCartney.
