I understand that Classic FM’s ambitious uber-babe Lisa Duncombe – who toiled in the insomniac hours before her axing earlier this year in the jazzy GCap shake-up – is being enticed back by management to host a prime-time daytime show, much to the chagrin of the DJ old farty soft-speakers. And the bosses think she’s just want they need for its high profile promotions – well, better late than never!
Goodness knows who the station’s Sister George may turn out to be ...
It’s pleasing to me to know that a “prominent” Tory MP is a very BIG, er, fan ...

If true I'll switch on to Classic again. My pussies love Classic and they're feeling deprived.
I really miss 'Latenight Lisa' and Mark Griffiths. For those of us who are active in the wee hours, the present Jazz genre is sleeping music, not working music. Lisa's energy was a welcome spark. As a result of the changes, I have left ClassicFM behind. A letter of inquiry that Classic FM responded to rationalized the change as a matter of the two presenters not reaching the demographic that their research indicated would welcome Jazz. Their demographic research did not include me, so I must be as redundant to them as Lisa and Mark. So be it. I'll check back from time to time, but I have switched to a 24 hour classical format from the states; www.SKY.fm.
Lisa drew me in to classical music - bring her back and I will be back as a regular listener...the Classic FM staion needs her enthusiasm and energy..not to mention the fresh look at new developments in classical music....did I mention her sultry voice???
Now that Jazz has disappeared from the programming schedule, it would be nice to have Lisa Duncombe return to Classic FM. She brought life, wit, and fun to the station and I miss her and her approach to classical music.
