Kate Winslet is to be congratulated on her Oscar Best Actress nomination for the most excellent
The Reader, but what of her young co-star, German actor David Kross who brought so much (out) to his role, much more than Kate did? One feels that the Academy must try to broaden its horizons.

I thought it was ungracious for Kate Winslet not to have acknowledged at the Oscars the superb and courageous support she had gotten from David Kross in "The Reader". What a great young man!

I thought David Kross was superb in the role of the young Michael. It would have been great to see him receive some award for his role in this film.
Yes, I agree with the other comments...David Kross was superb and should have won an award for say 'Best foreign actor', especially since he had to learn English for the part.
Americans are jealous at any non American super-talents. David Kross deserved two Oscars, not one! Europeans should now honor his prime art with highest awards!
I'm in love with David Koss. I think he's a beautiful guy and I love his beautiful face, his talent, his smile. I hope everyone knows what a superb actor he is. He is a very nice guy!

David played an amazing role in the reader!!
'The Reader' would have been a failure unless David played a superb role dedicating him to what the character demanded....His acting pleased me so much....as his childlike face made me feel affectionate for him.....I watch the movie very often as I have bought a dvd of this film......I wish David a successful acting career........from Monayem, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
